
檸樂雞翼 Cola Lemon Wings
This is one of my favourite “Hong Kong styled” homemade dish which is really “east” meets “west”. Usually we use coca cola but the sugar tax in UK is pretty much, so I tried to use the local product – Scottish cola to make. Surprisingly, it tastes so good and perfectly match with lemon & ginger taste.
Ingredients
- 8 pcs Chicken Wings 雞翼
- 2-3 nos. Garlic 蒜頭
- 6 pcs Ginger 薑片
- 1 no. Lemon 檸檬
- 1 cup Cola 可樂
- 2 tsp Olive oil 橄欖油
Seasoning 醬汁材料:
- 2 tbsp Soy Sauce 豉油 or Dark Soy 1 tsp + Light soy 1 tsp
- 1 tsp Cooking Wine 廚用酒
- 2 tsp Brown Sauce 庶糖
- 1 tsp Oyster Sauce 蠔油 you can omit if you can’t find in your country
- 1/2 tsp Black pepper 胡椒
- 1 pc Candy Sugar 冰糖 can be omitted
Instructions
- Peel & cut the garlic & ginger.
- Rinse the wings
- Add oil to the pan and stir the garlic & ginger well.
- Put the wings into the pan and stir well.
- Add cooking wine, soy sauce, cane sugar, black pepper & all the seasonings.
- Pour the cola into the pan.
- Then add lemon slices.
- Put on the lid and cook until done. (about 12-15 mins)
- Reduce the sauce until thicken and serve well.
